Enable upload of completed tours / activities to Strava.
Komoot has amazing tour planning and navigation features. But all my past activities are stored in Strava. Strava has a great activy community and is awesome in activity sharing, comparing and analysing of completed activities.
The combination of Strava and Komoot kills every competitor.
Downloading GPX files and uploading them again in Strava is off course possible, but what kind of user expierence is that?
Not up to Komoot's standards, I would argue...
thanks a lot for this interesting idea!
We’ll see what we can do to implement it. Should there be any plans here, we’ll post a respective update.

Still no strava integration? It's quite easy.. And would boost komoot's popularity as many will still use strava..
Alternatively, is there an api to export gpx of my rides? I'm not a fan of running multiple battery consuming apps. in this case, I'll leave strava running, but if there was a way to sync I'd probably prioritise komoot as I like looking at the map more than current segments
It would be great if the connection between these two apps is possible :)
Looking forward to komoot & Strava sharing data in both directions.... thanks in advance.
It would mean I can break my relationship with Garmin if you achieve this.

When uploading a Komoot-generated GPX to Strava, it's quite bumpy and the elevation differences are overestimated more than 2x. This does not happen with GPX generated with other apps on the same device (iPhone 7).
So as a related idea, perhaps Komoot could apply a better smoothing algorithm on the exported GPX files?

Any progress on this?

I'm new to Komoot but being able to view other riders on the same day and historical best times for segments along your ride is most likely why cyclists use strava if a similar development was in Komoot the app would be near perfect.
I would suggest komoot improves by adding more of the best tools and features available in Strava, MapMyRide, RunKeeper, RideWithGPS, etc. Such as option to upload tours only if on WiFi, privacy option to share certain tours only with friends, automatic listing the names of segments of the trails used, analysis of speeds and altitude change on segments, comparison with others who've been on this segment, bulk exporting of all or several selected gpx files (not just tour by tour), display of the map location below the enlarged photo on the PC slideshow, searching of user tours that used certain trails or segments etc.
